Crest Information
We've now added a new crest design!. David Gasser was kind enough to send us a copy.
Our original crest design is still in need of some graphical wonderment but we'll keep it for now. If anyone
has any additional information, or even different information, we would welcome your input.
The primary description of the (left) Gasser coat-of-arms was documented in Rietstap Armorial General. The original
description of the Arms (Shield) is as follows:
Quartered: 1 and 4 = Gold, a Black half eagle moving from the partition. 2 and 3 = Silver, a Red Griffin holding a bouquet of red roses,
the Griffin of the third quarter turned facing left.
Above the shield and helmet is the crest which is described as: "Five ostrich plumes, red, silver, black, gold and red".
Even though the original description calls for half eagles, I have only found images containing the full eagle with outspread
wings. If I can find separate verification of the half eagle, I will modify the images here.
